Historic Preservation Award
Presented by The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center
The Heritage Museum and Cultural Center recognizes annually the owner of a house or commercial building in Southwest Michigan that has been restored to honor its architectural significance. Primary consideration will be given to exterior restoration in terms of materials, massing, fenestration, and colors.
Entries should include a brief narrative of the history of the structure with the names of the original owners and architects, if available, as well as the steps the current owner took to restore the building. Submission of pre-restoration and post-restoration photographs is required. Historic photographs showing the original design are recommended. Please include the current owner’s name, address, phone number, and email address.
Deadline for entry submissions is August 15th at info@theheritagemcc.org. Entries will be displayed, and the award presented at a reception at the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
